Cottage Pie

Equipment

* 1 baking dish
* 1 frying pan
* 1 pastry brush
* 1 wooden spoon

Ingredients

* 1 kg beef mince
* 1 onion diced
* 1 carrot diced
* 2 celery sticks diced
* 1/2 red pepper
* 2 beef stock cubes
* 3 tbs cornflour
* 1 tsp curry powder
* 1 tbs soy sauce
* 1 tbs tomato sauce
* 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
* 2 cups water
* 3 cups mashed potato
* 1 splash milk
* 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste

Method

* STEP 1 
Fry onion, carrot, celery and pepper in a deep frypan with salt and pepper until softened.
* STEP 2 
Add the mince and remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes.
* STEP 3 
Spoon mixture into a baking dish, and top with mashed potato.
* STEP 4 
Brush top with milk and bake at 185C for approximately 40 minutes or until potato has browned.
